using the SQL Editor... I selected 'SqLite' from Database Type, was expecting a browse tool to connect to my SQLite file.... it gave me the option for ODBC connection type
how can i just connect to a sqlLite db file and query the tables?

There is no browse button, that Database field is generic, can be used for server names or file names depending on the database type. Simply enter the complete SQLite file name into the Database field. You will need to do it once only, it will remember what you entered. If you enter a nonexisting file name, it will create a new database, else open an existing one.
In case you don't have the ODBC driver installed, here is the download link to the most popular version http://www.ch-werner.de/sqliteodbc/sqliteodbc_w64.exe
