Entering Edit mode can be done using F2 but Save Changes has no hotkey. As none of the Save items (or any other, fwiw) uses the hotkeys involving Ctrl + S, I'd like to ask if you would be so kind and add some hotkeys to Save Changes and Save Changes As Script, preferably Ctrl+S and Ctrl+Shift+S. Right now, hitting Ctrl+S will save the contents of the current editor tab, regardless of the Result Tab having the focus, but I probably that could be made context-sensitive.
