We believe we found a way to reproduce this issue and it's not specific to ROLLBACK or MariaDB. WE are testing a fix and going to release a new build soon.

Splendid! May I ask for any hints on what might be causing it, so that I could try to avoid doing that until the new build is released?

Sure. We have found a defect related to activation of panes when multiple results are returned by a multi-statement SQL script with a mix of different operations like below
SELECT ...;
UPDATE ...;
SELECT ...;
DELETE ...;
SELECT ...;

Please upgrade to the latest released version 11.1.115. The issue is supposed to be fixed in that version.
