[11.0.25 Pro] - FR: Linked Files |
|
I've got a couple of feature requests for Linked Files in Database Explore. The feature itself is quite potent, however, it's a bit restrained. It has a few very useful items in its context-menu
but none of them is assigned as a default action, so there's no double-click action, you always have to choose from the context menu.
It is able to load the file into the current tab or open it in a new tab. While both these are very useful, it can only load its contants into the current tab, without opening the file itself, meaning that any changes made to the contents cannot be instantly saved to that file. On the other hand, opening it in a new tab will, of course, switch to a new tab and that new tab has its Database Explorer open with its default settings (every tree branch collapsed and an empty filter). If there were an option to open the file in the current tab, without opening a new one and resetting the Database Explorer to its default, that would be great. It it were possible to configure which one of these (Open in Current, Open in New, Load in Current, Execute), it would be even better.
