Is it possible to configure the number of queries retained by Execution History? If yes, where?

I'm sorry I'm not sure I understand your question. If you are talking about SQL History of code executed in an editor, it's scope is limited to what was executed in that specific editor instance. You close the editor, and it's gone. If you want to reset it without closing the editor, right click the SQL History pan, and choose Delete All menu.

Yes, that's the one I'm interested in. But not for deleting or retaining its contents through editor restarts. My problem is that it only keeps the last 8 executions. No executions beyond the 8th backward in time is shown in the history there.

The next build will have SQL history length configuration exposed in the options. We expect that available in a couple of weeks.
