Multiple processes running |
|
I am running 24x7 scheduler service but when I look in task manager, there are 11 different 24x7 scheduler (32 bit) processes running also.
Is this normal?
Thanks

Yes, it's normal if their command lines show /job switch - these are running database or script type tasks.
However, if they never quit then you may have a problem with stuck jobs.

How would I be able to tell what jobs they are associated with? If the are stuck jobs.

In the 24x7 web console you can use the job monitor to see running jobs.
Also can use monitor command in the command line console for the same.

Thanks. I run the command line monitor and it shows jobs running since last night. How can I tell why they are still running?

Perhaps the developers who created the jobs in question can help you with the troubleshooting and figure out if a there is a resource deadlock or breaking errors and the processes are stuck. If you know know job numbers and they have output capture property set to yes, you can check their current job output files to see what shows up there.
