Changes not being saved |
|
I am making changes to my jobs but they are not being saved.
I have UAC turned off and verified the account had full control of the 24x7 folder.
Any idea where else I can check?

Please verify you don't have multiple scheduler instances running, for example, you are running graphical versions while the service is running in the background.

That is the case. I am updating via the GUI and the service is running. I am moving from version 3.4 and was able to do it with that version.
So if I need to make an update, I need to stop the service first?

That's correct. Or much better solution is using the web based console. When you stop service you may accidentally kill running jobs, difficult to know what's running when you cannot see them.
In comparison, multiple people can use the web console and the service doesn't need to be stopped.
FYI, by design the GUI mode is for local upgrades, troubleshooting, and for other administrative tasks. so is the command line console. Developers can also run the scheduler on their workstations if they prefer the GUI mode provided they have a license for local install.

Is there any additional cost for the web console?
