7 Day Job Forecast Bug with monthly jobs |
|
I was running into an issue with the 7 Day Job Forecast, the job was hanging and spiking the server's CPU to 100% for a few minutes before timing out.
After playing with my jobs DB for a while, I have figured out that the problem is caused by jobs that run monthly and have a comma separated list of days to run on. Monthly jobs that just run on a single day have no such problem.
If the job is due to run within the 7 day window the issue appears.
I guess this is more of an FYI for anyone else seeing this problem, and I'm wondering if there is a fix.

Could you please provide an example of what you have in the day list that is causing the issue?

The issue I was seeing in particular was with the following.
Days: 15,24
Using the Web Console.
Version: 5.2.417
System: Windows Server 2008 R2; JVM 1.7.0_25

And to clarify everything runs fine. The only time I encounter a problem is when I try to open the 7 Day Forecast under the Reports drop down. If I have one of those monthly jobs enabled the report generation seems to go haywire.

This seems like a bug or regression in the scheduler. We are looking into that
