64-Bit UltraEdit |
|
I just installed the 64-bit version of UltraEdit on my workstation, since I often work with large files. I didn't expect the SQLAssistant plug in to work with it, and was not surprised when I found that is exactly what happened. Is there anything I can do now to get it to work with it? If not, is there a plan down the line to allow SQLAssistant to work with 64-bit programs?
Thanks in advance.

Yes, the migration to 64-bit version is on the road-map. It's a very significant change that would require a new major version. Historically we planned 64-bit version for v7.0 release but pushed it to backlog. Until major application and database development tools like Visual Studio, SQL Server Management Studio, PL/SQL Developer, Toad, etc.. all migrate to 64-bit versions only, that is unlikely to happen. The majority of database development performed by our users is still done using 32-bit versions of development tools.
