They are specific to the SQL Editor, it's a a feature of the editor. You can customize them and other other hokey supported by the editor in Options -> Key Mapping. Syn Edit is the last in that list. EDIT: By the way, you should advertise markers in SQL Editor, it's a pretty useful feature, it would deserve more attention.
