SA not working with pgAdminIII 1.20 |
|
With recent version of pgAdmin (1.20 beta2), SA does not work.
Actually it adds it self into main menu, but doesn't hook into windows (not SA in context menus, no other features)
Option 'Modify Target Options' from main menu - does nothing
On the other hand, using hotkey CTRL+SHIFT+F5 opens expected window and additional error message window with message: Unsupported window class (WxWindowClassNR)
with regards

Thank you for letting us know. Can you provide me with a download link for pgAdmin beta?

Please try the latest build 7.1.228. It contains some enhancements for supporting latest pgAdmin versions, also automatically disables native Intellisense.

I can confirm that native pgAdmin3 intellisense is disabled. big thanx for that.
Unfortunately SA still doesn't work with pgAdmin3 1.20 beta2

We tested that beta, and it worked fine for us. What do you get when in the pgAdmin editor you press Ctrl+Shift+F5 hotkey?

We have developed a workaround for 1.20.1, wich will be available in the next released build, but it's not guaranteed to work with pgAdmin future versions. Until pgAdmin is out of beta and its code stabilizes, I doubt a good solution can be found.

What do you mean by 1.20.1?
Is it beta1 or you got access to some future version?
Right now I can see 1.20 RC1 (with no windows binaries yet)

I copied that number from the tracking system I think they meant RC1 but not absolutely certain about that.

pgAdmin III 1.20 on Windows 8,10 x64 not working |
|
Still not working - no context menu nor functionality. On press Ctrl+Shift+F5 error occurs: Unsupported window class (wxWindowClassNR).
At the same time on Windows 7 x64 in pgAdmin III 1.20 everything is working correctly. SA works well on Windows 8,10 (x64) in SQL Management Studio x64, Notepad ++ (with Postgres connected), SoftTree SQL Editor (with Postgres) and other. I tried both Postgres installed 9.4.4 x64 and x86(!)

Hi,
What is the full version of pgAdmin that you have installed on your windows 8 system?
Does it work when you start SQL Assistant system tray application SqlAssist.exe in Run as Administrator mode and then open pgAdmin?
