Display Current Connection? |
|
Is there a way to get the popup displaying the current SQL Assistant connection (non-shared) without having to reconnect? There are times I want to double check the connection while in Notepad++ or Visual Studio, especially before running a some query which might change data/schema.
Thanks in advance.

Please verify in the Options dialog, in Advanced section for Notepad++target you have Show Connection Context set to no zero value. If enabled switching the focus from and then back to the editor will trigger a small balloon in the right bottom corner with the current connection context.

Doesn't Always Work |
|
Switching focus doesn't always working in Visual Studio (2008); I have the Show Connection Context for VS set to 15 seconds in options. I can switch tabs, or even switch out and back from VS, but the connection bubble doesn't appear.
Please consider (as a feature request) adding "View Connection" to the SQL Assistant context menu. Clicking that would then bring up the little bubble menu.
Thanks!
