Nothing in specific.
Since JQuery requires much less coding than conventional JavaScript, so thought of using it.

jQuery is designed for manipulating interactive web content within web pages on the client site (in a web browser)
On the other hand, JavaScript version in 24x7 is loaded with functions for automating unattended process on back-end servers, such as process and file operations, ftp/sftp/ftps, databases, job management, etc...etc...
