I've checked 6.5 and I experienced no changes in the behavior. Are there any?

Are you using new "sort" - sort ascending, or "sort_desc" - sort descending options?

No. Where are those options? I could not find them in the user guide either. I only have three options for Name Matching Method (Name Starts from Key String, Name Contains Key String and Name Contains Characters from Key String).

Yes, that feature works fine, I've already updated my snippets to use that instead of a $$...$$ user macro to achieve the same goal. But I was referring to the original issue described on page 1 of this topic, namely, the order of items in the popup in case 'Name Contains Characters from Key String' method is used.

Okay. I think that's something really worth waiting for, so... I'll just keep waiting.

Re: Feature: alternative sorting for Name matching methods |

Yes, that's practical. But there are other occasions when it comes in handy and the 'obstructing' string is not always a prefix. Take a look at the screenshot: |
Please try new version 6.5.276 released today. There is a new name matching method available, you will need to change it in options DB Options -> SQL Assistant -> SQL Server -> Auto Complete -> Name Matching Method. Look for "Name Contains Key String, Order by Best Match" Hope it does a better job for you than other name matching methods.
