I don't see anything suspicious in that script. Weird.
It's unlikely a script issue unless it triggers something else outside of the job.
Would it be possible to comment a portion of the script, run it, see if that makes a difference, then another portion, and so on... to isolate the actions leading to job getting stuck in the queue?
