SA doesn't work in Toad for MySQL 6.3.0.642. No menu item, no context menu, no popups, no snippets or hotkeys, nothing. It doesn't respond to CTRL+SHIFT+F5 either.

Could you please tell me if it worked before the latest update?
Do you know if your version of Toad uses Net2 or Net4 framework?

Alas, I cannot answer those questions. I've just installed it because I was looking for an alternative to Notepad++ for MySQL. Something that has something Object Explorer-like. It looks promising but not having SA in it is a fatal drawback.

Make sure it's the 32-bit version of the install as well. S.A seemingly cannot work with the 64-bit editions of software that's it's not an actual plugin for.

It is, that was the only thing I could check.

Well I hope they can sort it for you. I'd suggest you look at database.net for your mysql needs (for object browsers too), but it cannot interface with S.A without them licensing the API which has me sad.

Aha. Now that's weird. After restarting Toad several times for different reasons (none of them related to SA) and installing its trial for SQL Server SA suddenly started to work in Toad for MySQL.

Perhaps, you restarted in in Run as Administrator mode or something similar that made a difference?

No, I'm not running it in Admin mode. I've also restarted the machine since the first try, though I doubt it makes any difference. But who knows...
