SQL Assistant Menu Item is not in my SSMS 2008 R2 Menu |
|
I installed SQL Assistant, targeted it to SQL Server 2008 R2 SSMS in the options, and the SQL Assistant menu item does not appear in the SSMS main menu at the top nor in the context menu in the query editor.
Is there a solution for this?
Thanks.

Try starting SSMS in Run as Administrator mode. Open query editor, type SELECT. Does SQL Assistant prompt appear after that keyword?

Well, that was it. I could have sworn I was in the administrator group, but I guess I'm not. Thanks so much for your prompt, good response.

One last bit of information for anyone else that might run across this post... my user is an administrator, but one thing I didn't realize was that one has to open a new query editor window before the SQL Assistant menu item appears in SSMS. I was looking for it when SSMS first loaded, before I did anythin gelse.
Thanks again.
