So far we have been unable to recreate it. I've noticed on your screenshot, that you Management Studio IDE has been opened for a quite a long time. I rebooted last night. Did you try the recreate a user based on on the name of a database in SQL 2000 SP4? I'm willing to install a debug version with trace code.
