Sorry, I almost missed your message. The Sybase ASE server version 15.0.3 is running on Windows 2003 server 32-bit, the scheduler that I tested is on Win XP system. To the best of my knowledge, there is no ASE client on XP, but there is an ODBC driver installed by Sybase. I'm not sure about the ODBC driver dependencies. I also believe that Sybase JDBC driver used by 24x7 doesn't need an external Sybase client to talk to the server. It supports internally the complete communication protocol.

Hi
Can I know whether this could be a problem which can be resolved if we engage some sort of professional services from SoftTree. We need to resolve this before acquiring any licenses.
Please let me know

Hi,
We can setup a WebEx based remote support session to get a first hand look at this issue.
To get a better understanding of this issue and your requirement, may I know why you don't want to use an 24x7 JDBC-ODBC connectivity interface which you already confirmed as working and instead stick with the Sybase JDBC connectivity interface which you cannot get working so far? What kind of a difference does it make for you?
Thanks

Hi,
Which previous post are you referring to? I failed to find a post describing why ODBC based connectivity is not good. Would you please remind me that?

Hello,
Yes, we could use ODBC based connectivity. Since we are in the process of evaluationg the software we wanted to know why SYBASE interface is not working. We will try to run jobs using ODBC profile and let you know if we face any problems.
