Table name aliasing for DELETE within BEGIN END |
v 5.0.74
BEGIN
Delete
From dbo.
END |
If at the above point you specify a table, the table name is aliased (which is bad for a delete). This doesn't happen if it is outside of the BEGIN END (this is the desired behavior).
Also, with Delete From dbo.Table the SQL syntax helper then pops up FROM again. This one isn't a big deal, just FYI.

Thank you. I am able to reproduce this issue. If a DELETE statement is enclosed in BEGIN...END structure and FROM appears on a second line below DELETE, then an alias is inserted after the table name. I am going to submit this case.

Additional Case |
Delete
From dbo.Table1
where Column1 = @Column1
If you go up and remove dbo.Table1, then choose a different table, the table name will alias.

Thank you. We have already developed a fix for this issue. It should be available in the next beta version build. That build is not yet available for beta download. We are still hammering some other issues.
