SQL Assistant 4.1 release candiate available

SQL Assistant 4.1 PREVIEW version is now available for download. We have posted it earlier than planned to allow all interested parties to download, test it, and provide feedback.

This version is not officially supported, but seems to be stable. It packs a number of new features and enhancements. We hope you will like them. The download link for the preview version is available on the product's home page.

Please give it a try and let us know if you come across any issues. Your feedback is always appreciated!

It would be helpful to know what's new in ver 4.1, so that we can test that area!

3. Code Snippets added to menus with shortcuts
4. Variable data type hints on mouse over
5. Code highlighting for matching object, variable, column names,
6. Smart undo
7. Tab replacement with spaces
8. Coping SQL code to the clipboard as a "string" in a specific programming language
9. Automatic expansion of uniquely identified schema names in popups

May I also suggest you to highlight PRIMARY KEY columns in different color for a given table object in intelisence popup list. This is very imp for a DB developer while writing a SQL code.

In theory this is a very good idea. However all "extras" of this kind lead to performance expensive database queries which may make the tool unusable in large databases, increase memory requirements, network traffic, etc…. We are trying to keep it as efficient as possible.
