Ladies and Gentlemen,
Version 4.2.278 is now released. This maintenance release includes numerous enhancements. It also involves the transition from Java 1.4 to Java 1.5
Here are brief release notes for 4.2.278
1. Code base has been moved from Java 1.4 to Java 1.5
2. Windows installations now provide standalone Job Automation Language (JAL) environment which previously was only available in 24x7 Automation Suite for Windows. 3. Built-in JavaScript engine has been enhanced with new methods for automating basic database operations, data retrieval, export, etc.
4. Built-in JavaScript engine has been enhanced with new methods for automating basic Internet operations including file downloads, automated data submissions using HTTP CGI/NCGI posting.
5. Built-in JavaScript engine has been enhanced with new methods for complete programmatic management of scheduler's environment, including remote agent management, calendar management, folder management, queue management, etc…
6. Updated web-based interfaces for 24x7 Scheduler. Both ASP and JSP versions have been updated to support latest features.

Thanks for the notification.
Is it possible to post a list of the bug fixes?
In your e-mail it states 'is offered as a free upgrade to existing users with software maintenance agreements'. We bought a 'single license' of 24x7 in 2007-08, does that qualify?
Thanks.

Here is what I could dig for bug fixes for the latest build of 24x7 MP Edition
#0001684 - Some job templates cannot be loaded on Linux\Unix systems
#0000841 - Semaphore file names might be cut when job properties are updated using web console
#0002191 - ASP version of web console cannot be used to kill jobs
#0002185 - Detached jobs are not always correctly terminated after timeout leading to queue stagnation.
#0000736 - Web console causes incorrect encoding of job command lines containing "=" symbol
