FTPS (RFC-2238) over an SSL Channel |
|
Does 24x7 support the FTPS (RFC-2238) standard? Can't find any mention in the documentation.

RFC-2238 = SNMP v2 contains Definitions of Managed Objects. What does it have to do with "FTPS?"
If you mean secure FTP (I mean secure FTP based on SSH, not regular FTP over SSL channel), then the answer is Yes, is does support if. Please search the documentation for "Secure FTP" and you will find it

Secure FTP |
|
I'm looking to send FTP over an SSL channel. We're connecting to a vendor to retireve secure files and they indicated that our FTP client had to be compliant with RFC 2238.
Do you know what standard 24x7 uses to implent security?

24x7 currently doesn't support SSL directly. It directly supports "Secure FTP" and regular FTP automation.
If necessary, you can use 24x7 to automate FTP over SLL using available third/party COM/OLE interfaces or even automate runs of command line utilities. A number of free command line utilities for FTP can be found on the web.
