'Check for Updates' has false positive. |
|
1. Downloaded and installed v4.0.24β.
2. Started SQL Assistant.
3. Right-clicked icon in systray and selected 'About ...' from menu.
4. Dialog appeared titled 'Options' and on the 'About' tab showing version as 4.0.24 BETA.
5. Right-clicked icon in systray and selected 'Check for Updates' from menu.
6. Dialog appeared titled 'Update' with text 'Checking for updates ..."
7. Soon, another dialog appeared with title Question and text 'SQL Assistant 4.0.24 beta is available! Do you want to install?'

Yes, we are aware of that. This is by design and only affects beta releases. "Beta" from the version number will be dropped later and it will show a different message. In case of the same version, it is will inform you that no new updates are available. Also please note new automatic updates feature, which can be turned off/on in the Options in the Common section. That new feature was added in the latest build and is not yet documented.
