Thanks for the quick response. Is it VMWare (virtual server) compatible? Is there different pricing or upgrading that occurs moving from the Windows version to zLinux? Do you have a document explaining how to setup a failover or clustered environment? Just to confirm, I do mean "zLinux" with the "z".

In most cases licenses can be freely swapped when migrating to a different platform. There is an abstraction layer that allows running 24x7 on both virtual and physical machines. Yet the fail-over mechanism in Multi-platform Edition is different and involves some hardware elements such as a need to link master and standby machines using a serial cable. I don't know whether that method would work with VMware. The scheduler failover is described in the "High Availability" chapter in the on-line help installed with the software. It is based on the Linux High Availability Project, more info is available here http://www.linux-ha.org/

That license swapping is not platform specific. It depends on the maintenance options and license type. Please check with sales@soft......com for details (I missed the domain part on purpose, please use the correct email address).
