Change default email Subject Line? |
|
The default SUBJECT line for start and end job notifications is "Message from 24x7 Scheduler" . This forces us to open each 24x7 email notification message to see which job started or ended. We'd rather have the job information in the Subject line of the email notification so we can only open emails from jobs that interest us.
How do we change this default email subject line to something more meaningful for each of our jobs?
Thanks.

Option #1, don't use canned email notifications of "email" type. Use "script" type. In the notification script you can put any text you want for the subject and message
Option #1, don't use email notifications at all. Use HTML Status Reports option and choose the target directory somewhere on the shared network drive. You can see the complete messages for all jobs using just a web browser, open index.htm whenever you want and navigate from there.
