Because 4.x is now available, how long will it be until 3.x is no longer supported or is in extended support?

24x7 Windows Edition v4.0 is not yet available. V3.is still current.
Typically, support for old versions ends after 2 major releases. Or after 1 major release and at least several maintenance releases for that major release, whatever comes first.

So the multi-platform version is not v4 and SoftTree intends to make a 24x7 Windows v4?

The multi-platform edition currently doesn't support JAL scripts. We are working on that piece. Windows edition v4.0 will be released probably at the same time, and then we plan another maintenance release that will bring them completely together and there will be just one version.
