installing the agent |

How do I install the agent on a remote machine?
Is it just a regular install and just run the agent?
I'm on RedHat Linux running the java version.
Thanks

Depends on the agent type. Is it native version or Unix/Linux agent to be used with 24x7 Windows Edition, Universal Java version for Windows Edition or 24x7 Multi-platform Edition running in agent mode?
What are you trying to do?

I'm using the multi-platform java edition version 4.0 build 215.
I have installed the product on one of our linux servers.
I want to run jobs/scripts on a remote server. In order to do so, it says I need to install the agent on the remote machine.
I did not see too much documentation on this.
Do I take the install I got and install that on the remote machine and just run the agent?
Thanks!!

Correct. Just install the same software on the Linux computer and then start it using .agent.sh
