Issue in SQL 2005 Mgmt Studio

Enter select like "select * from" escape out of the selection list. Begin to type a table name. Now press control + space to regenerate list. New list is not filtered by previously entered characters and if you select a new table the name is not completely replaced. If I enter ch and then control + space to get a table list and then select the customer table, in the editor my table name is now chcustomer.

This is by design. When you force the popup using Ctrl+Space for the table list, don't expect it to be filtered by some text you already have in the editor. The way to do it is to type select * from <popup> and then continue typing the required object name, or schema name, the popup list is filtered automatically with every pressed key.
