Try using wildcards in the message text. Specify the subject exactly and for the message specify "*" : Hi, : I am tring to use the schedule to run job : "When certain email message is received" with : Lotus Notes. : Lotus Notes is install on my server. : I did two job in 24x7: Job#1: send a e-mail to my Lotus Notes mail box. : Job#2: setup to run "When certain email message is received" : I see "Checking Incoming Email..." in 24x7 status : bar but my Job#2 do not run. : When I login in Lotus Notes I can see the message : sent by JOB#1 in the inbox. : Please could you help? : Thanks. : Thanks.

: Try using wildcards in the message text. Specify the subject exactly and for : the message specify "*" This don't works. Should I use double quote? How I can be sure that 24x7 connection to my Lotus Notes Works? I assume the connection works fine because, I removed account and password info and I got an error. Thanks.

Specify asterisk without quotes for both the subject and message and see if it reacts to any new incoming message. If it does, enter subject as you see it in Notes client and then add the asterisk at the end. There could be more symbols in the actual message data then what you see on the screen (spaces, tabs, end of lines, etc...) : This don't works. Do statuses of new messages in your Inbox turn to "read" otr they stay "unread?" : Not working with asterisk for subject and message.

There is something wrong or incompatible with your Notes MAPI client setup. When 24x7 checks messages it checks only new messages, in other words these that have "unread" status and as a result all "unread" messages turn to "read." The fact that the "read" status doesn't change and you see no errors in the 24x7 indicates that Notes MAPI client doesn't return new messages. Check with IBM support what can be done to fix it. If your Notes server supports POP3 protocol you can also use 24x7 Event Server to check for new messages directly on the server (no need to have Notes MAPI client installed) : I have 70 messages in my Inbox all are "unread".

There is an other way to run job on e-mail reception If I don't want to buy your 24x7 Event Server? Thanks.

The scheduler supports MAPI only for checking incoming emails. And MAPI is supported by most email software packages. So your choice is really to use either some MAPI compliant email client software (such as Eudora or Outlook or GroupWise, etc...) or use a program that can do check email messages on the server not using MAPI. 24x7 Event Server is one of them. By the way, I am a bit surprised to hear that Lotus Notes doesn't support Outlook or MAPI. Are you sure? They did so for many years, why would they stop doing that now? : MAPI is not supported anymore by LOTUS NOTES / IBM. : There is an other way to run job on e-mail reception : If I don't want to buy your 24x7 Event Server? : Thanks.

Yes, that should do it. If you can get Outlook working and a MAPI provider you then should be able to get 24x7 find new messages. What I don't know if you can have both Outlook and Notes client on the same machine. Is this a problem for you? : MAPI is not supported but another product "Information on Domino : Access for MS Outlook (DAMO) 6.5.x" is available. : See: http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21161211 : Does 24x7 support this?
