You don't need profiles for Solaris connections from the Windows version. In 24x7 Windows version profiles are used only for Windows agents (e.g. for 24x7 running in the agent mode). For all other connections you should use JAL jobs. The RA Server Reference http://www.softtreetech.com/24x7/24x7Linux.pdf contains multiple examples for running unix/linux jobs.

When you start the server try running it as ./server.sh –f /u01/app/24x7/ra_server.log This command will instruct the server to write all errors, user authentications and other events to the ra_server.log file. Check what you get there. I searched the support log and find out several reports with similar problems. In 2 cases there was a version mismatch between the server and the client DLLs. These people managed somehow to overwrite ra_client.dll on the Windows side from an older version of the setup. Please verify ra_client.dll date is 1/9/2004 and version is 2.0.0.4. : I have tried both Native and Java of the versions I have. : prod:/u01/app/24x7/ra_server >ls
