First let's check if the scheduler is currently setup to accept network connections. Start it in the graphical mode and click Tools/Options menu. On the Network options page both Master and Remote Control options must be enabled. Also take a note of which ports are chosen for connections. If these options are not enabled, enable them and restart the scheduler. If you cannot run it in a graphical mode, edit preferences.xml file using vi and then restart the scheduler. If the scheduler is setup correctly but you still cannot connect and your application and scheduler run on different computers make sure you can ping the scheduler machine. You can use netstat to verify the scheduler machine is listening on ports specified in the scheduler settings. If not check your firewall and network settings and ensure these ports and connections are not blocked. If they are not, attempt a new connection from your application. Check the scheduler console and if you see any exceptions reported there please let us know what you get there. : Further Information: My application was using the same port for over a month : now and had no issues...All of a sudden this is what happens and it : completely refuses connection. I would really appreciate it if you could : help with this as I have a deadline tommorow. : Thanks : TJ
