A beta version of the Voice Message Services (VoMS) software has been made available for download last week.

This software can be used with 24x7 to make automatic phone calls, for example, to send admin alerts when something fails or scheduled maintenance reminders, etc... All you need is a sound card and a regular voice-compatible modem. It can send pre-recorded and dynamically synthesized messages (text-to-speech)
