This error indicates that the ping didn't get the expected response which should be an IP packet containing ICMP data. This usually indicates a problem with a router or firewall. Don't know what else to suggest other then trying to restart the machine and see if that helps. : I'm having a problem with the native JAL Ping function : that has suddenly stopped working on our 24X7 Scheduler : server. In trace mode it returns '64 bytes from pingservername : icmp_seq = 0. time: 0 ms non-echo type 3 recvd'. : The Ping function has worked fine for a couple of years. : I restarted some MS Application Center services on this : server which probably is inhibiting the proper Ping response. : Any ideas on how to revive this to get the proper response? : Thanks. : BTW - I had no success with querying your web site forum : using the string 'Ping'. It returns everything but messages : relating to 'Ping'. What am I doing wrong here, or is the : site search not working properly?
