How do I start a email watch?
I can't find how to write one.
Do you start from a template?

Where do you start?

Please help.

It is much easier then you think. In any job open up Job Properties Wizard, click the Schedule button. From the Schedule Type drop-down list select "When certain email arrive" item, click the Next button and fill in email account info, subject and text for the filter. For beginning use asterisk wildcard for the message text filter. Later customize the message text to tighten the filter.

Notes: 24x7 Scheduler Windows supports MAPI-compatible emails only and requires email client software installed on the computer (such as Outlook, Eudora, Lotus Notes). 24x7 Scheduler Java Edition supports SMTP emails and doesn't require an email client. 24x7 Event Server also supports SMTP and doesn't require an email client. Use 24x7 Scheduler when you need to monitor only a few emails from one or several email accounts. Use 24x7 Event Server when you need to monitor lots of emails for many different accounts.

Thanks! Ohh...
I was just sure it was in one of those example scripts. :)

One other question, in checking the subject lines.
If I want to scan incoming email for "fred" in the subject,
Does putting *fred* in the subject work.
And do I leave the message part empty or put a * in it.

Thanks in advanced.

Yes, use *fred* for the subject and * for the message text. Asterisk means "any text".
