When using 'restart job on fail' option, I set the job to retry 12 times with a 300 seconds
interval between tries.

It seems that 24x7 is not incrementing the retry counter:

It appears that you are using customized error handling in a script type job. Please send your job database and schedule.log file to support@softtreetech.com because it's difficult to figure out what is going on without seeing your job definition and job script.
