Post Blob fields Reply with quote

Hi,

Im currently evaluating 24x7 and have a few questions.

How do I transfer a blob or a large text field to a stored procedure?

I tried using the DatabaseExecute statement in a script, but 24x7 gives me an access violation when executing the statement, I thing it's because the statement parameter in execute is too long, 80k plus.

Is there any other way to do this?

regards,
Ole

Hmmm, seemed that i formattet the execute statement wrongly, and that was what made the access violation.

Anyway, its all ok now.

A bit worrieng though that a wrongly formattet execute statement can crash the scheduler.

In which module it crashed? Was it a database driver?

Anyway, I do not think it is good idea to update blobs using SQL. Sooner or later you will come acrooss a blob value that cannot be updated this way.
