Both error messages are probably caused by the same reason - the master scheduler is unable to write to the job database file. The name of the active file is specified in the scheduler's title bar. Please check that the file is not read-only. and that the account running 24x7 has permissions to write to that file. : I am using Remote Control. After editing a job, I : used the 'remote save' button to save it, : prior to running the job. : I get 'Synchronization with master scheduler failed. : Unable to save changes on the remote host.' It looks : like the job on the master was updated, but also not : saved. : I tried changing the connection from asyncronous to : syncronous & get the same error. : Master Scheduler is also unable to do a local save, : 'Unable to write to job database file. File may be : opened by another instance or locked by another : program.' : Thanks for your assistance.
