Post Fail-over mode only pops up license Reply with quote

I'm trying to get fail-over mode working and I'm having some trouble.

I'm sure I have all the settings correct. The Master scheduler starts and says (MAster). Then whenever I start the stand-by server the license.txt pops up on the Master scheduler. Its as if they are communicating but the license just pops up on the Master and that's it. The stand-by server then also says (Master).

I checked and our licenses are all official and up to date (not pirated or anything).

Ever seen this?

Thanks,
Mark

Master and Standby servers require separate licenses. When you install the software you must enter different license keys on different computers. The popping up license.txt indicates that something is not installed correctly.

Thanks - That was it. The admin had entered the same license key for both servers instead of using our second license. I reinstalled 24x7 with the new license on the second machine and fail-over works fine now.

Question - Is there a way to change the license key (serial number) after the fact?

You can change it directly in the registry
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\SoftTree Technologies, Inc.\24x7 Scheduler\3.0\Serial"
