Post Jobs Disabled but Ran Reply with quote

I have several jobs that have "disable this job on error" enabled. Due to database inaccessibility, several jobs that were scheduled to run failed and were disabled in 24x7. Most of these jobs are scheduled to run once a day. The problem is that even though the jobs were "disabled", they ran the next day.
Any clue?

Are you sure they were not run manually?
Are you sure they were disabled yesterday, not today?

A disabled job can run only if it started manually, there is no other way.

I am positive that they were not run manually and I am positive that they were disabled yesterday.

Switch to the detail view in the 24x7 GUI.

Do these jobs appear disabled having their icons in red circles and next start time blank?

Do you have messages in the job log like "Job XXX was disabled due to ...." or similar messages?

Yes, these jobs have been disabled ... In the log there is an entry with what looks like a red stop sign that indicates an error. The next entry is an exclamation point inside a yellow circle that says job has been disabled.

How do I view the next start time? Nothing ever show up under the Monitor.

Use View/Details View menu in the Job Explorer window

I am running 24x7 as a service. I have to stop the service, start 24x7 graphical version, and then I can see the "next run". Since these jobs ran this morning (7/5), the next run is 7/8. (They are set to run once a day each weekday.)

So these jobs were not disabled. Do they have red circles around job icons?

No, they WERE disabled. They DID have red circles around the job icons. I re-enabled them this morning AFTER the jobs ran this morning.

If I look in the job log, you can see were they were disabled yesterday. The jobs ran this morning, even though they were disabled. I enabled them this morning.

Send a copy of your job database file and a copy of job log (schedule.log) to support@softtretech.com for investigation. Something isn't right.
