Post Appending to an Excel Spread Sheet. Reply with quote

I have a script that goes out and gathers the disk info from all of my servers. I currently have it email me the results, total space, used and free. How can I have 24/7 append this to a Excel Spread Sheet.

You can use Excel COM automation in 24x7 VBScript jobs to create and manipulate Excel SpreadSheets. Excel on-line help is a good place to start. Please also take a look at the sample Excel job provided in the "Examples Jobs.dat" job database file.

I have version 2.4. I do see the Excel job in the examples Job.dat. If possible can you post part of code.

Sorry, COM automation is not supported in version 2.

As a workaround consider writing your data to a plain text CSV file (comma-separated value file). Excel can read and write such files.
