Remote Control |

I'm trying to Debug a script by Remote Control and everytime the script get to the DatabaseConnect command I get a 'Database profile not found' message. The script runs from the Master Scheduler fine.

The script in Remote Control Debugger runs on your box locally, not on the remote box and so you need to create the same profile on the your computer in order to make it work locally. When you run the script in regular mode using Run Now you can choose whether you want to run it locally or remotely : I'm trying to Debug a script by Remote Control and everytime the script get : to the DatabaseConnect command I get a 'Database profile not found' : message. So are there any plans to make the debugger to run the script on the Master machine ( remotely ) . The script I'm running relays on directories and files, and other programs on the master machine to run. : The script in Remote Control Debugger runs on your box locally, not on the : remote box and so you need to create the same profile on the your computer : in order to make it work locally. Not as I know As a workaround for now, you can enable tracing on the master, run the script then immediately reconnect to the master. This will re-download the trace file script.log which you can see in the Log Viewer. : So are there any plans to make the debugger to run the script on the Master : machine ( remotely ) . : That's weird. All that button is supposed to do is to save the profile : information in the registry. That's it. The button should be enabled and : should take just a fraction of a second for the work unless you have some : registry problems. : Anyway, if you can create new profile using Tools/Remote Agents, use it. It : is the same thing. When you run the Remote Control just pick the : previously created profile. I am new to 24x7 scheduler. I faced the same problem when doing it with with 'attach to remote host', but it is work Tools/Remote Agents. Any people facing the same problem and have solution ? Sunny

Here is a workaround for this problem: Start 24x7 Scheduler, use Tools/Remote Agents menu to bring the list of configured agents and masters, click the New button and add new profile. Exit scheduler and start the Remote Control. The configured profile will appear in the list, now you can use it with the Remote Control. : I am new to 24x7 scheduler. : I faced the same problem when doing it with with 'attach to remote host', but : it is work Tools/Remote Agents. It is a bug that causes the OK to do not respond properly on some systems. This bug will be fixed in the next patch (later this week) : Is it my OS problem or scheduler bugs ? Will it be fixed in next patch ? : Regards, : Sunny
