|
Referencing Email Notification SysOp -- 11/13/2000 13:18 I have tried your suggestion on changing the smtp format, however the 24x7 email notifications as well as emails set up within 24x7 going to customers have 2 attachments. Any other suggestions? We are using IMAIL Server Web Messaging 6.0. Thanks - Bob

: 1. Could you post the original topic? : 2. SMTP interface does support email attachments The original topic - Since upgrading to 24x7 v2.4.3, we now find that jobs set up to send e-mail notifications are sending these as file attachments instead of in the main body of the mail.

Try changing email encoding method and content type. Open Tools/Options menu then change email settings on the General tab. Try changing content type to text/plain. If it does not help, try either "mime" or "none" for encoding. : The original topic - : Since upgrading to 24x7 v2.4.3, we now find that jobs set up to send e-mail : notifications are sending these as file attachments instead of in the main : body of the mail.

: I'll send you a mail test to support@softtreetech.com. I'm having the same problem. I didn't have the problem before upgrading to version 2.4.4. I'm using Outlook 2000, SMTP, MIME:None. I've tried changing the content type to text/plain, but after restarting the field is null. Thanks, Erikk

Until this is fixed in the next maintanence release please use "uuencode" message encoding with "text/plain" for message format. The current problem is caused by ignoring "text/plain" with "mime: none" format and still generating email as MIME formatted HTML message. : I'm having the same problem.
