On Windows 95/98/Me, 24x7 Schedulers and 24x7 Remote Agents can be setup to run as standalone Windows applications or as Windows 9x service applets that run invisible and can start before a user is logged on.

On Windows NT/2000/XP/2003/Vista, 24x7 Schedulers and 24x7 Remote Agents can be setup to run as standalone Windows applications or as Windows NT services.

24x7 Remote Automation Servers for UNIX, Linux, Mac OS can be setup to run as TCP daemon processes or as background services. 24x7 Remote Automation Servers for Windows can be setup to run as standalone Windows console applications or as Windows NT services.

24x7 Schedulers and 24x7 Remote Agents running on Windows platforms can use 24x7 Remote Automation Servers to transparently access UNIX, Linux, Max, Windows processes and files on remote systems as if they were local processes and files.

A minimal installation of core components on a Windows computer requires 18 MB of free disk space. A full installation of all components requires approximately 25 MB of free disk space.

24x7 Remote Automation Server for UNIX/Linux/Mac/Windows requires approximately 150 KB of free disk space for native version and 250 KB for Java version (not including JDK 1.4).
