Please check and if necessary modify IIS settings for the DefaultAppPool - the Performance and Recycling properties and their times parameters. Using the "Worker Process Recycling Options: you can make IIS automatically recylce the left-over remote sessions.
For additional info, please see http://www.devx.com/webdev/Article/17400/1954
Hope this helps.

I am not sure if the new settings actually worked but here's the result of some testing I did.
1ST TEST SCENARIO
-Configured a new web server for the web console v3.5.1 with the Work Process Recycling settings you've specified.
-Connected successfully to our production scheduler, v3.4.31, that's on another server.
-Logged out and waited another 15 minutes and attempted logging in again. Received the server invalid reply message.
2ND TEST SCENARIO
-Used the same web console as in 1st test scenario
-Connected successfully to a test scheduler, v3.6.9, that's on the same server as the web console.
-Logged out and waited 15 minutes. The second log in attempt was also successful. I've also attempted several logins after that and every attempt was successful.
In conclusion, it looks like the web console only works well either with a later version of the scheduler or the web console has to be on the same server as the scheduler. I am leaning towards the first guess.
We are planning to upgrade to the latest version of the scheduler anyways so this will no longer be an issue. Hopefully, this post will help others who are encounting similar problems.

Hi,
I've seen a support case referring to an upgraded version of the console that somehow used an outdated version of logout.asp file. In that file a line was missing for cleanly closing the session object. The user who reported this issue, added this missing line and it resolved the problem on their systems.
The code of that file should be as in the following example
