64 bit OS |
|
I've try to install SQL Assistant in a Windows 2003 x64 Edition.
Soon I've seen that it works in Application that are constrained to run on WoW ( es. SqlServer Management Studio ) but it doesn’t work on 64 bit application, like Notepad.
Is it by design or I've miss something ?
Do you plan to support it ?

SQL Assistant is a 32-bit application and therefore only works with 32-bit applications. If your SSMS is also 32-bit, it should work just fine. In fact, it works fine for me on my 64-bit Windows XP workstation running 32-bit SSMS Express.

Unfortunately, I don't think we are going to support 64-bit applications any time soon. Very few people use 64-bit client applications yet for development, most people run 32-bit development tools.
