24x7 Automation Suite Mutli-platform move to Google Cloud |
|
Hi there. We currently have 24x7 Automation Suite Multi-platform edition 5.2 build 417 running on one on-prem desktop. Our IT team has indicated that we should be moving the application to Google Cloud to be hosted on a VM environment.
Looking to confirm:
- if we can move the current version of 24x7 Automation suite to cloud or do we need to upgrade.
- What level of Windows Server should we be looking at. Currently looking at Windows Server 2019 Data Center Version but not sure if the automation suite is compatible
- would we need to have a specific JVM version installed on the cloud VM
- Are there any tricks, suggestion, gotchas that we need to consider.
Thanks.

It's compatible and can run on all Windows desktops and servers from Windows 8 and up.
However, 5.x has known vulnerabilities in 3rd party components and for that reason should be upgraded to at least 6.1 or later.
The latest version is 7.0. Support for versions 5.x ends by the end of the year.
