Is there a correct way to great update jobs |
|
Hi team
We have a single instance of the 24x7 automation suite.
I am not sure what is happening and hope you can help me.
When I create a new job or update an existing job I complete the following steps:
1) Turn off the service -- 24x7 Scheduler Multi-platform Edition
2) Open 24x7 scheduler by double clicking and opening the application
3) Update a current job or create a new job
4) Test the job both manually and through scheduler (i.e. not logged in)
We use a service account to log in to the remote computer and the account is set up per recommendations.
We have noticed recently, that if we make changes (maybe too many changes) the changes do not save after a period of time. It could be a change a JAL script or it could be a change to the properties of the job.
The remote computer is running Windows10.
I am clearly doing something wrong. Hope you can assist me.
Thanks,

Is the service account to log in to the remote computer the same as the account running the service? If they are not, Windows UAC may potentially have a role in that.
Can you please check if you have multiple remote desktop sessions open to the remote computer? You can check them in the Task Manager. If there multiple sessions each running an instance of the scheduler, they might be overwriting each others changes.
If possible, please try restarting that server.
