SQL Assistant Formatting Hotkey |
|
I know it's not a SQL Assistant issue but maybe somebody can help.
I bought a new computer and now in SSMS CTRL+F11 just inserts the text I copied before.
The same behavior with keys CTRL+(F9, F10) and the text inserts in other applications with these hotkeys also.
I don't have multimedia buttons turned on and other Functional buttons works as expected.
Searched in Windows 10 settings but found nothing useful.
So what can it be?

Does that happen when SQL Assistant add-on is suspended? It can be suspended using the right-click menu, Suspend.
Which SSMS version are you using?

No, it happens with suspended targets also. A few but not all applications react the same way.
The version of SSMS is 18.10.

Please check in SSMS settings in Tools –> Options –> Environment –> Keyboard –> Keyboard if you have predefined shortcuts for Ctrl+F11 and what it's set for.
Do you have SSMSBoost add-on installed, anything assigned to Ctrl+F11 there?

Checked it before and didn't find such a shortcut in the list of SSMS keyboard options. I don't have other addons installed.
Just tested the shortcut in Notepad (Windows standard) and the text inserts also.
I thought there is a special driver for my keyboard but on the official site (A4Tech) only specification exists for this type of kb. So default Windows "Hid keyboard Device" should work correctly.
So it's not related to SA and I'll search on the Web again though nothing was found early.
