[10.0.187 Pro] - Saving table data changes throws error |
|
I ctrl+clicked a table name to show its contents. I pressed F2 to enter edit mode, selected two cells from a column and pressed Del to set them to NULL. So far, so good. But then I selected Save Changes from the context menu and instead of saving changes I got the following error message in the Messages pane:
 |
 |
SqlCommand.Prepare method requires all parameters to have an explicitly set type.
The command(s) completed with errors (15.13 ms).

Would you please describe the connection context, type of the database server and connection type?
Looking at the error I think this is an ADO.NET connection, but cannot tell the type of server because it's a driver side error.

Certainly. The connection type is ADO.NET indeed, made to an SQL Server 2016 SP1 Standard Edition, using Windows Authentication. The data provider is System.Data.SqlClient.
Setting the connection type to ODBC does not throw any errors, however, it only saves the changes made to only one row. Even if I set one arbitrarily chosen column to NULL for several rows, after selecting Save Changes the result pane is updated and it shows that only the last row has been changed. The rest of the changes are undone.
Check this short video >>here<<.
On the other hand, it properly saves the change statements as a script.

Thanks a lot. We are debugging that issue.
